Updates: 3D Ultrasound, Gifts & Lab Work

Ok lots to update you all on! We have been soooooo busy the last 2 weeks it is unbelievable. This coming Saturday is the baby shower, I am so excited but cant wait for it to be done and over with Lol!!! Anyways, here are my updates:

We got the travel system (stroller & car seat) as an early shower present from my Mother in Law. Andy had a blast putting it together! Here are a few pics:

We also got the changing table for the nursery, a gift from Great Grandma Ponticello:

We also got a glider & ottoman, which is something I really wanted:

A good friend and old co-worker Jess, also sent an early shower present:

On 10/07: Andy and I went to Prenatal Impressions in Oviedo for a 3D Ultrasound. We went and paid for a 15minute session which included 30 pictures on a disk, 15 minutes recorded on DVD and 1 printed photo. At the end of the session we ended up with 66 pictures, 33mins of video and 4 pictures! Not to mention about $200 worth of formula!!! We were very pleased with the service and the overall experience. Seeing Gabriella was amazing. It was also nice to confirm that she was a still a girl Lol! We drove to Ocala that night to surprise my mother in law with the DVD. She loved it and cried, it was a very special moment for all of us! Here are a few pics:

On 10/08 I had my Rhogam shot, I also found out that I needed to go for my 3hr Glucose test. I was not happy with that outcome but I have to do what I have to do. The Rhogam shot was no biggie. I was just surprised to have to have it done in my butt area. Totally caught me off guard!

Today, 10/11 : I went to the hospital for my 3hr Glucose Test. I am not sure why they call it a 3hr because in total it took about 4 hours. We got to the hospital at 7am, got checked in and into the lab at 7:15. They drew my blood and said my fasting sugar levels were 85. I don't know what that means? Lol. At 7:55 they gave me the sugar drink, which I had the option of Orange or Fruit Punch. Being I don't like anything sugary, I went with Fruit Punch and BOY WAS THAT NASTY! I had 5mins to drink it and it literally took me 5 minutes. At 8:30 they drew my blood for the 2nd time. At 9am they drew it the 3rd time. Between 9 am and 10 am I started feeling really nausea and dizzy. I made it to the next stick at 10 am, which she had a hard time getting blood but got it thank goodness. 11 am surprisingly came fast, we did the last stick (5 times total for the day) and Andy and I booked it out of there. We got Tijuana Flatts for lunch, but after FINALLY being able to eat, my body felt weird with food in it. I felt pretty blah from 12-3 then finally laid down and took a 2 hour nap. Feeling good now, just hoping for good results! I really don't want anything bad to happen to my daughter.

So I think that pretty much sums up the last 2 weeks! Lol. I will try and post pics on Sunday after the shower, if not then Tuesday on my free day!

Love,
Mama Steg

28 Weeks Exactly & 6th Prenatal Visit

09/29/10: So I went 5 weeks this time between visits since Andy and I went on vacation. The visit went well. Blood pressure was 120/85 and I had only gained 3lbs in 5 weeks! Wooo Hooo!!!! Not too much to say, Gabby's heartbeat was a strong 140bpm like the last few times we went :) My next visit is in 3 weeks, then 3 again, then 2, then 1 week, 1 & 1 !!! Not too many left and closer together now!!!! I am officially in my third trimester today also! I was supposed to do the sugar test but since I am so sick from vacation the had me reschedule for Friday the 1st. Not too much else to say.

10/01/10: Went in for my lab work today, had to drink that awful orange mixture then wait a hour. I was SOOOOOOO hungry! Ugh :( Also did bloodwork for the Rhogam shot. The nurse had a hard time finding a good vain but in the end it got done. I have to go back next Friday for the actual Rhogam shot. Once we got home from the Drs, Andy finished the bathroom!!! Yayyyy. All painting is officially done! Woooo Hoooooooo :) :) :) Also put up an IKEA shelf in her room :) Enjoy the pics!
